Author Karen Ward-Wilder passion for writing started when she was young, although it sparked in college while taking a creative writing course at N.C. A & T- North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University, and pursuing a degree in Psychology. Karen has provided counseling to thousands of youth and families. Her desire to help others, along with having a passion to write, inspired Karen to intertwined her counseling and writing experience, in developing her four books, “The King’s Men,” “It’s All About School,” and “Jack Wentworth-The Real Belt,” which is a six-part book series. Karen's recent fourth book, “Playing With Hidden Treasures at Home- Games and Activities for Children and Teens,” is a timely book of games and activities, which gives kids something exciting to do at home; while developing skills. All of the items for the activities can be found from everyday household items. Karen has recently written a new Children's book titled, "Zackity Zack the Cat, Sparkles His Teeth." This fun, educational book inspires children to have fun brushing their teeth, and improving their oral health, while going on an adventurous journey with "Zackity Zack the Cat." This is a book series. Karen has written the text to a theme song for this series and the text of the song is included in every book! Karen’s desire is to help youth develop their inner self-confidence, recognize who they are, value their life, and to enjoy fulfilling their life purpose. Make the best out of each day.
