He has a BA in Political Science and an MA in Public Administration. Joel started his career as a writer with Institutional Investor in New York covering the 401(k) market and has held a variety of writing and editing posts in the US and Canada. Joel has also worked as a writer for CNN and in Canada, BNN (the Business News Network). Following a brief career change in public relations, Joel founded a boutique content and communications firm, KRANC COMMUNICATIONS in 2011, working with large financial institutions as well as other industries on all forms of content creation and media relations.
