Jean Ibañez Payne is a passionate advocate for women who have experienced trauma and feel lost in the aftermath. Her journey is one of resilience and empowerment, overcoming unimaginable challenges that began in her childhood. Jean’s early years were marked by abuse, and her adult life saw further trauma, including repeated sexual assaults during her military service. Despite these hardships, Jean emerged with a fierce determination to reclaim her life and rewrite her story. At 15, Jean returned to the U.S. from Colombia and faced feelings of isolation, leading to an eating disorder. Seeking an escape, she joined the Navy, where her struggles intensified. For two decades, Jean battled anxiety, depression, and suicidal thoughts in silence, even keeping her trauma hidden from her loved ones. But eventually, she decided to transform her pain into purpose, using the tools provided by her doctors to regain control of her life. Strength and resilience became Jean’s guiding forces as she learned to wield her voice with authority, advocating for herself and others. Her experiences in the corporate world further tested her resolve, yet she approached each challenge with boldness, inspiring those around her. Today, Jean offers hope to survivors of abuse, using her story to empower others through coaching, workshops, and speaking engagements. She believes every woman has the power to reclaim her worth and live a life filled with purpose and joy.
