Jack F. Rocco M.D. has more than thirty years experience as a practicing orthopedic surgeon. His work has taken him to many countries and cultures including Japan where he served in the U.S. Air Force and Madagascar, where, through a nonprofit organization he established, treated children suffering primarily from clubfoot. He has also served on the board at Shriners Hospital for Children in Philadelphia. He is also an adoptee from the "Baby Scoop Era" and his first published book Recycled: A Reluctant Search for True Self Through Nurture, Nature and Free Will chronicles his evolution through life as he wrestles with his own true identity. His journey travels along the nuances of culture, biology, politics, religion and race among others which form the foundation of how our belief systems establish our identity. This identity can often be disrupted, altered and sometimes even completely destroyed with the endless secrets and lies that make up adoptees and DNA surprise individuals reality.
