My Dad unexpectedly passed away two days after I graduated from high school, ending my pursuit of a college degree. Thus began what became the career challenge of my life: succeeding while competing with college graduates while being told it was impossible. It isn't impossible. Evaluated and described as a "people person," openness and honesty came naturally to me. My career path led me from operations to the world of human resources. I held executive human resources roles in three different large companies. At one, I filled the Vice President of Leadership and Development role. I found incredible enjoyment in counseling talented people toward enhanced success. I wasn't sure if I possessed the skills to succeed as an author, so I wrote and published a book anyway, and "wow," am I pleased with the reviews!!
