Guido Pagliarino is a graduate of The University of Turin; his degree thesis was published by the Economic and Social History Institute of this University. The History of Economy and the History of Economic and Social Doctrines were very important for this author during his studies, under the guidance of Prof. Carlo Cipolla and Prof. Mario Abrate. In the following years, despite many wider interests, the Author's interest for history and philosophy has continued, above all about the Epistemology; in this interest, the discovery of books written by the philosopher K. R. Popper was very important: a discovery which has conduced Guido Pagliarino to come back to the Christianity. "The agnostic Prof. Popper’s books?", one would question in astonishment. "Yes", is the Author's answer, "I was a positivist man, and by Karl Popper I opened myself to deeper and more humble searches". Prof. Poppers says, in substance, there is nothing certain in science; on the contrary, one can only temporarily accept a conjecture powered by experiments, and only if it is susceptible to be counterfeited. Then, Guido Pagliarino had thought: "Why should theology be treated any less than science?”; and he started researching on Christian history and doctrine. Intellectual meetings of a persistent, friendly association with Father Charles Jegge, until the death of that dear person, were the determining factor for the author’s return to Christianity and for an ulterior deepening of his faith. The author has collaborated with many magazines; he has written for Talento (Talent), Controcampo (An Adverse Vision) Spiritualità e Letteratura (Spirituality and Literature), Vernice (Varnish), Penna d’Autore (The Author's Pen), Il Corriere di Roma (The Rome Courier), Cultura e Società (Culture and Society) and Future Shock. This author has been honored with the “Award Of Culture By The Chairmanship Of The (Italian) Council Of Ministers” for his writings. Guido Pagliarino is author of novels, poems and essays.
