Garry M. Maher hails from Birmingham. His parents, both Irish, migrated to England after the war. Growing up as one of seven children, Garry spent his formative years in Weoley Castle before moving to Erdington at the age of ten. His childhood was marked by escapades with his elder brother—dodging school, exploring the streets, and frequenting pubs. These experiences would later serve as the rich palette for his writing.
