I am writing fiction stories for real life issues; a great deal of money has already been raised for suicide prevention and mental health charities, and my Do9rs books are meant to address those issues while making people laugh. In the face of grief laughter often gets us through, and I think laughter can help prevent grief too. A Christmas Carl is a fantasy/drama about mental ill health; a serious book that, like the Dickensian original, intends to incite social change.
