Cyd Ropp earned her Ph.D. in Communication from the University of Memphis in 2001. Her specialty is the rhetoric of science and medicine. Her Master's degrees are in Education (UCSB), and Family Counseling (Azusa Pacific University). The Bachelor of Science is in Psychology, from the University of Guam. Dr. Ropp has worked as a college lecturer, a marriage counselor, and a bed and breakfast innkeeper and chef, among other things. She is an award-winning writer in a variety of genres and an award-winning cook and innkeeper. My brother, Billy, and I have been philosophizing together since he was in middle school and I was in kindergarten. Our riding-in-the-car discussions were about general relativity and early big bang theory. In college, Billy majored in physics and philosophy, while I majored in psychology and education. Unofficially, I have continued my studies in comparative religion and classical philosophy to this day.
