Corrinne Averiss is renowned for her poignant heart-warming picture books for young children. Her books have been sold around the world and been translated into over 20 languages. My Pet Star (illus. Beautyman / Quarto) has found worldwide success as a celebration of family love and remedy for separation anxiety. Corrinne has published titles with Andersen Press, Farshore, Oxford Children's, Quarto, Stripes and Hachette. She has also worked in children’s television for over 20 years as a Writer and Producer/Director. Her self-penned children’s series – Tweedy & Fluff – is currently broadcast on Channel 5’s Milkshake! and Share a Story, a competition she devised for CiTV, has been awarded four Children’s BAFTAs. Corrinne grew up in the Midlands, studied English Literature at the University of St Andrews and settled somewhere between the two - in a little town between Manchester and the Peak District with her husband, daughter and tabby cat.
