Cori is an associate professor in the Department of Counseling Psychology at the University of San Francisco in San Francisco, CA, where she teaches and trains graduate students to become therapists. She is also a licensed psychologist (CA PSY20755) and a credentialed school psychologist working in private practice. Dr. Bussolari has worked in hospital, clinic, and educational settings throughout her career. She is passionate about supporting people experiencing grief, trauma, and chronic illness, and helping them develop positive coping skills, such as self-compassion, when faced with significant life transitions. She deeply believes that, with mental health access, we all have the capacity to discover our inherent strengths and feel better. Her research is currently in the area of disenfranchised grief, specifically companion animal loss. She lives in Northern California with her husband, dog, and very hairless cat.
