Among Wolves -book 1 - Berna Bolyn tells her intimate and moving- Historical Memoir, of a young girl who grows up in the wilderness, a survivalist in the most remote and highest mountaintop in the Ozarks, starts first grade in a one room, all white mountain Klan school, in -1952. Berna, along with other children faces horrific abuse at the hands of religious fanatics, Klan teacher, but finds peace and purpose while communing with nature, the wolves and riding her horse Bonny on her family's 200 acre strawberry farm. While exploring some of 400,000 acres of Ozark National Forest that backs up to their farm, Berna witnesses and hears an extraordinary ceremony in the valley for below, where torches are lighted to forms a circle and in the middle a fiery cross burns, with singing and chanting, and sometimes shouting and muffled screens, but unlike the screens of the wild panther cats she had heard in the deep forest. Berna describes in detail the horrific and to her, heroic rescue, when the FBI invaded the mountain Klan school in 1956. Berna's parents and a couple other non-Klan parents had notified the school superintendents and other law enforcement for years with no success. Book 1 takes Berna through an extraordinary childhood to age 16 when all her family and parents, and once financial sustainable strawberry farm is gone. She is on her own. Book 2 takes Berna out of the wilderness into the cities where she learns how to survive the wolves of the world and tells of her slow, struggling but steady, progress to gain an education, she was deprived of in her mountain Klan grade school, to catch up and eventually be accepted to a PhD doctorate program in her early 30s. Book 1- Among Wolves-Growing Up in the Shadow of the Ku Klux Klan and Trible Lands, will crystallize her life long interest in the organization of the Ku Klux Klan and their diverse modern day spinoffs organizations, how they live and think, and why, where they meet in large gatherings, some in remote wilderness places, National Forest, remote Native American lands and reserves, and sometimes hidden in plain sight. Book 2-begins Berna's second extraordinary stage of life journey. Berna is on her own and working as a waitress in Fort Smith Arkansas, where she meets a soldier from Boston Massachusetts, stationed at Fort Chaffee 'and gets married at 17. Then Boston Gen. nursing training. After three years and two children and divorced, takes her back to Muskogee OK. After becomes a cosmetologist and then to Tulsa. The oil boom and money making mecca of Oral Roberts City of Faith and University and Hospital, satellite television promoting televangelist in the 70s. Being single, flying in Learjet's, high society of middle America new money and owning her own counseling business in the 1980 and into the 1990es. Berna remarries in 1991,and in 1993 gives up her business for her husband's career and moves to Houston Texas and becomes an executive wife! and all the things that go with it that drained her independent spirit and thinking mind. Houston Texas, fossil fuel giants and beyond Billionaires, Secret Societies and modern day extreme religions, televangelist marketing, and political agendas to persuade and mind control the mases. Berna tells her historical memoir in plain words ,because she has firsthand experience at all levels of society and the hooded brotherhood of the Ku Klux Klan, from her early childhood, to 2023 and spinoffs of the same philosophies of white supremacy, some extreme religions and male superiority.
