Alice L. Lumbard is a writer, certified landscape planner, and cat lover. She currently lives on the Olympic Peninsula near Port Townsend, Washington USA. She was blessed with spending part of her childhood living on a primitive farm next door to her grandparent's more modern farm. As an adult she had the unusual and wonderful experience of working for twelve years as a deckhand on coastal fishing vessels. During five of those years, she lived aboard a power vessel with her youngest child and their shrimp killing cat. She loves reading, watching movies, designing courtyard gardens, and road trips with her partner that involve sleeping under the stars. Tulip is her debut novel.
