Publisher's summary

Baseball has never been sexier in an all-new novel by New York Times Bestselling Author, K. Bromberg.

Easton Wylder is baseball royalty. The game is his life. His passion. His everything.

So, when an injury threatens to end Easton’s season early, the team calls in renowned physical therapist, Doc Dalton, to oversee his recovery. Except it’s not Doc who greets Easton for his first session, but rather his daughter, Scout. She may be feisty, athletic, defiant, and gorgeous, but Easton is left questioning whether she has what it takes to help him.

Scout Dalton’s out to prove a female can handle the pressure of running the physical therapy regimen of an MLB club. And that proof comes in the form of getting phenom Easton Wylder back on the field. But getting him healthy means being hands-on.

And with a man as irresistible as Easton, being hands-on can only lead to one thing—trouble. Because the more she touches him, the more she wants him, and she can’t want him. Not when it’s her job to maintain the club’s best interest in regard to whether he’s ready to play.

But when sparks fly and fine lines are crossed, can they withstand the heat, or is one of them bound to get burned?

Endearing hero and heroine

I loved this book! Scout is strong and determined and Easton is one of the best male characters I've ever read in a book. Their story is cute BUT THIS CLIFFHANGER!!! Ugh...

Great listen

All the negative comments about a cliffhanger that's very typical of miss Bromberg and always worth the wait

Loved the Story.

Mad about the cliffhanger lol. A really addicting storyline that kept my attention from beginning to end. The narrators definitely kept my attention and did a very good job.

The romance baseball fans need

Sports romance fans, this is the book for you! As usual, K Bromberg does not dissapoint. This is the story of baseball star Easton and sports physical therapist Scout. Both come from fathers who are legacies. Both are trying to prove they are more than that. The connection between this is too is aparant right from the start. As much as they push and pull they can't deny it. And once they accept it the fireworks begin. Easton is a no strings attached playboy who is a major prankster and doesn't need an ego boost. Scout is a stubborn and independent woman proving her place in an environemnt dominated by men. They both have their own issues past and present to deal with. You will be sucked into their world right away. This book has all that I love a bad boy, a strong woman, baseball, love, compassion, steamy scenese, healing and so much suspense and surprise I had to gasp a few times out loud. And as this author loves to do she leaves you needing more. I can't start the next book fast enough.

Romance, Banter, Sports, and Emotions!

4.5 Stars / 4 Steam Fans

Wow, did the emotions run high in this one and then the ending W.T.H!! Easton is an injured baseball player that Scout comes in to rehab. Scout is the daughter of a legendary rehab specialist but they have family secrets. Easton and Scout have a love - hate relationship from the start because Easton has had bad luck with rehab specialist in the past and Scout is trying to prove that she is just as good as her dad. They both have storms to endure through really getting to know each other and letting their walls down. Then that ending just punched me in the gut! Off to find out what happens in The Catcher.

Great book but cliffhanger

I love K Bromberg books and this one is no exception. It has some laughs, some steamy scenes and romance but be warned this is a cliffhanger and the next books isn't out for several months. Can't wait to see what happens next!

Great story!

I’ve listened to this three times now and it’s still a great story every time. While I love the story and the author, what I can really do without is all the GDs and JC’s. Cursing does not bother me but that does. It’s so unnecessary and ruins the dialogue for me. But this is a story I will listen to again and again.

LOL - The reviewers are right

I saw the warnings about the cliffhanger and listened anyways! But it really is laughable how abruptly it ends… Like there are TOO many unanswered storylines and no details about WTF happened. It makes me laugh but not in a good way ha!

I need more Easton & Scout!

Easton and Scout’s witty banter and explosive chemistry made this sports romance a rabbit hole I was more than happy to fall down. I love a good cliffhanger and this ending had me one clicking book two the moment I finished.
