Publisher's summary

Gia Marie Giselli's boyfriend wanted to share her with his business partner, and she refused. She leaves New York the moment she gets a chance and heads to Houston, Texas. With the help of her cousin, Teddy, who's a detective there, she finds a new home and tries to put her past behind her.

In Texas, she meets Garrett, Wes, and Gunny McCallister. Her world and impression of ménage relationships are turned upside down. They want her, and as they try to convince her that this relationship is serious, some jerk from work attempts to assault her, making all her fears of men resurface. When they finally get through that incident, Gia's past reemerges.

Can the McCallisters keep her safe and convince her that true love and compassion don't come in the form of fists, control, and fear?

Note: There is no sexual relationship or touching for titillation between or among siblings. This is a Siren erotic romance.

Good story but narration could have been better

Would you listen to The American Soldier Collection Series: Escape from Obsession again? Why?

Probably not. The narrator actually annoyed me with the slow reading. I may read the book myself again and have read the rest of the series and love the author's books.

What other book might you compare The American Soldier Collection Series: Escape from Obsession to and why?

The series Town of Pearl is similar but I like how the author has small series with similar themes. But they have enough differences to keep them from feeling like u already read them.

What didn’t you like about Julie Hunter’s performance?

I didn't personally care for how she read in general. It was much to slow for me and dry.

Good book, Sad Performance

The book was awesome, loved the story line and characters. While the book was good the reader, Julie Hunter, does nothing for it. She is a poor reader, it was almost as though she was reading to children. No real feeling. Very monolog.

Great story, bad narration

The storyline romance is a good one but undermined by a bad narrator. I would recommend the kindle version instead. The story is a steamy HEA with military heroes. Perhaps for future books of Dwyer the publisher will hire a better reader to do the book justice.

Too stilted

The plot was interesting. The dialogue too pat and stilted. May have been the narrator's interpretation. Voices too corny. Might be a better story if done by different narrator.
