About this listen

It's Katie Peterson's job to be a mouthy DJ, but being mouthy just got personal. Jess Harkins has started construction on a 60-story office tower next to Katie's quaint local radio station. She'd hate his building anyway: Who needs another high-rise? But Katie especially dislikes having her view blocked by the guy who turned down the chance to be her "first". So it's time for a little payback.

Jess always got a laugh at Katie's irreverent on-air comments. He'd even thought of asking her out for old time's sake. But now Katie's barbs are directed at him, implying that any man driven to build a structure this high is obviously compensating for something. Jess has only one thing to say to Katie, and it isn't something he can just phone in. It's time to turn the radio off and turn Katie on!

Fun Listen but Voices Needed to Be Split

I enjoyed listening to this story and the only problem was the male voice doing the female and visaversa. Not sure why they didn't split it more but I can imagine that being a editing nightmare. The story was a little predictable but that's not necessarily a bad things.

HOT!

Great, hot story. The duel narrators didn't work when he was reading and doing her voice and vice versa. She did a poor male voice. He did better. They should have had the duel voices but having them each reading together- you can tell they didn't record their parts together- that would have been better.

Very good book.

It is a good book. More like erotica then romance. Don't listen to it at work unless you have headphones.

I have always enjoyed Vicki Lewis Thompson

I did not enjoy the man doing the woman’s voice or the woman doing the man’s. It was strange and took away from the enjoyment of the story. I wondered why they just didn’t read together and the lady do
all the female voices and vice versa. It would just make more sense.
The story itself was pretty good.

Wow! Can't wait for more!

This book was great! It had everything, and I do mean everything. The author proves she's not only a skilled writer but has the ability to create a story that literally stops you in the midst of whatever you're doing.

Don't pass this one up. It's worth the listen.

Great read--typical Desire book

Yes, the dual readers were VERY annoying, but if you can build a bridge, get over it and get into the story, its a great read. Exactly what I was looking for to pass the time.

Fun listen

If you could sum up Talking About Sex in three words, what would they be?

funny, sassy, true

What did you like best about this story?

She manages the conflict between being a proud and independent personality and the vulneriblity of falling in love well.

Which scene was your favorite?

The first time the hero and heroine are in her home alone together - her "bad girl" is a very fun, powerful bad girl. :)

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I always laugh with VLT's novels, and she usually manage to jerk a few tears out of me, too, as she writes such interesting and likable characters and manages to keep the suspension of disbelief going even with some of the most extreme conflicts. This one was no different.

Any additional comments?

I enjoy VLT's novels largely because she writes good humor with distinct yet identifiable characters.

The Title Fits

This book was enjoyable and definitely talked alot about 'sex'. I liked the story, although it was predictable. I would have preferred one narrarator vs. duel. Stil, great escape.

Problem with male reader

Fine story, fine narration EXCEPT -- both narrators has a SERIOUS problem with secondary character voices -- they makes them sound like children, or super-squeaky, or constipated. LAME. Why didn't the production team correct this problem before publishing? (to be fair this is a common problem with narrators -- especially when reading characters not of their own gender -- but it is MOST annoying!!!! -- The narrators should just read the story, NOT over-act

A Little Too Much Sex..

This book had a very loose and boring story line. Basically the book was just about sex. I guess the title should have clued me in on that, but I hoped for a funnier, deeper story than JUST sex. Had the characters and story been developed more and the sex scenes (thought pretty good ones) a bit less, this would have been a really good book.
