The Musketeers are three bisexual lovers, who regularly make a habit of going around to find women together, and seducing them into their collective bed. They find you, and with the three of them you have the best night of your life.
Of course, your boyfriend finds out.
He goes to confront the Three Musketeers, only to find that their powers of seduction work just as well on men as they do on women...

The sexual, hilarious conquests of 3 Musketeers!
I think this must be the author's best work yet, and he's still a relatively new writer! The story was so much fun - I don't even want to describe all the elements Mr. James threw in here. It would spoil all the enjoyment you'll have from just hearing how it begins! Must be the best setup for an erotica story ever written!
Kudos for a well thought out and executed production!

WOW! A real tour de force!
What made the experience of listening to Gay Romance: Mated by Three Rough Gay Alpha Musketeers the most enjoyable?
Just how great this story was written! It is soooo funny and engaging! "Adults don't cry...they drink" Hilarious! If you ever wanted an erotica story that has a great storyline and not just lots of sex (but has that by the boatload, no worries!), you will definitely enjoy this story!
What did you like best about this story?
That it has a great premise and is a more fleshed out story than most other R.P. James stories. Most of his stories are very short. This one actually took the time to have a back story on how these 3 friends became 3 modern day Musketeers, and then detailed all the fun times they have together.
There is straight male/female sex, foursomes, fivesomes, gay - all in one story ! And all the characters are likeable and some you can even relate to.
What about Veronica Heart’s performance did you like?
I liked her styling for the story - she had a tongue-in-cheek way of narrating the words.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
LOL all over the place!
Any additional comments?
Hope the author will continue this trend on being creative with his storytelling!

Lacking in Style
The narrator was very monotone and continued to lengthen words, I suppose for effect, when in reality, it took everything I had just to get through the story. She also created odd sound effects that just seemed misplaced.
The overall story wasn't bad, it was very directional, though. If not for anything else, the plot had merit.

Mated By Three Rough Gay Alpha Musketeers! Title
Mated By Three Rough Gay Alpha Musketeers
How is that for a title?
This book falls into two categories, either you love it or hate it. I couldn't find a lot of interest in it. It is what the title says it is, sort of a modern gay Three Musketeers – who happened to be attracted to anyone, male or female.
I am sure there is an audience for books of this style. That is evidenced in many of the comments and reviews. The book was well-written, and I can find no fault with any of that. So I encourage you to listen, if the subject matter appeals to you, (fantasy, romance, etc. M/M/M or M/M/M/F) go for it.
However, [Imagine a big red flag] *I did not care for the narrator. Her cadence was grating on me. She performed each line in the same matter manner no matter what the text was. It started out as monotone and at the end of little lilt, the same thing for the next, repeat, repeat, repeat. You get the idea.
This is a difficult one to rate, I tried. *I received this copy of the book in exchange for my review.
Listen to the sample provided, before purchasing. If you are a little more outside the box then me, you will probably enjoy this, but I insist that you listen to the sample of the narrator before purchasing it.
I appreciate you taking the time to read my review. *I do review books in exchange for copies made available at no fee. I find that reviews help me in deciding whether or not to purchase a books, especially new authors or performers. Sometimes they are helpful and sometimes they're not. If you found this review helpful would you take a moment and select 'YES' below the next paragraph?
Feel free to 'follow' me on Audible. My favorite books are contemporary romance and books by authors like Vince Flynn who wrote counter-terrorism, thrillers. However, you will find reviews from all genres that have asked me to listen for a review.
Authors & narrators, please feel free to take my review to any other media that you would like. You have my permission if you include review from DK and it links back to this site. Thanks! You may want to tweet this and that is fine with me.

Love those Musketeers!
What did you like best about Mated by Three Rough Gay Alpha Musketeers? What did you like least?
The story line, mainly. I like reading about 2 or 3 somes.
How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?
A little more dialogue and background of the musketeers to give them more of a personality.
How could the performance have been better?
A different narrator. Her cadence was terrible. No personality. Reminded me of Bela Lugosi without the accent. I don't mean to sound rude but it really threw me off the whole story.
Could you see Mated by Three Rough Gay Alpha Musketeers being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?
No, not really. Maybe on DVD only. Channing Tatum, Matthew McConaughey, and Denzel Washington.

Couldn't finish the book ...
How did the narrator detract from the book?
Yes. I don't know if it was Ms. Heart's pacing or intonation but it didn't work for this book.
Any additional comments?
I try and listen to an entire book, whether I like the subject matter or not, before writing a review but this time I couldn't. I gave it a solid 30 minutes but the narration didn't do anything for a blah story line. I wish that the author would have written this story in the 3rd person and/or given the main character (you) a name. Sorry to say, I cannot recommend this book.
I was given the book by the author, narrator and/or publisher in exchange for an honest review from Audiobookblast(dot)com.
