Publisher's summary

The man was sinful. It wasn't just the looks that made him dangerous, it was the cocky confidence that dominated every move, every touch. And the frustrating yet ecstatic fact about the whole package was that he could back it all up... Julia Campbell never knows what to expect with win-at-all-costs Brad De Luca. And she's starting to like it that way. She gave up safe, conventional relationships when she let the elite divorce attorney seduce her into his world. Now that he's determined to strip her naked of every inhibition, she's in danger of falling too deep and too fast. But their affair begins to feel even more dangerous when a murder leaves a trail of suspicion that points straight to the mob... and Brad. Trusting a man with a bad reputation and a past full of secrets seems like a mistake. But when she's forced to make a choice, the consequences will take her further than she could ever have imagined.

If you could sum up Masked Innocence in three words, what would they be?

not just sex

#1-Blindfolded Innocence
#1.5-The Diary of Brad De Luca
#2-Masked Innocence
#3-End of the Innocence

Which character – as performed by Mackenzie Cartwright – was your favorite?

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

This ain't a Hallmark card romance.

Any additional comments?

Masked Innocence is the second installment in Alessandra Torre's erotic/romance trilogy titled Innocence. Masked Innocence picks up where Blindfolded Innocence left off, and has a similar writing style as it starts with a glimpse at a later scene and then slowly catches up. However, a significant difference between the two books is thriller/mystery element...and then a huge revelation at the end. Ms. Torre definitely knows how to keep her readers invested in a continuing storyline! If you enjoy erotic series/trilogies, consider picking up Innocence. Please read in order though. It's not just sex thank God- there are great characters and an interesting story to follow as well. Check it out!

We get some mob/mafia crime in this one!

4.0-4.25 stars

Alessandra Torre is one of my 3 favorite authors ever. She writes in a style that is unlike any other romance author. It's hard to describe but there is something unique about each and everyone of her books. Usually, I am amazed at how creative her story lines are or shocked by an unexpected twist I never saw coming. After I finish book#3 in the Innocence series, I will have read every single book written by Ms. Torre. I have not yet read a book by her that was not extremely worthy of a 5 star rating until I reached this series. As with book #1, I debated with myself about the rating for this book. I realize that I read this and book#1 with extremely high expectations; having read all of her other books before these, I believe the bar was set too high. If I had not read anything else by her, I believe I would have been extremely happy with this series. Unfortunately, I know what she is capable of which is why I was disappointed that this series was not as unique as all of her other books have been. Masked Innocence is a fun, entertaining book plus it contains insanely hot sex and a dash of mafia crime action. It is an enjoyable book. However, I know that Torre could have created much more interesting characters and dialogue. In comparison to all of her other books which are out of this world phenomenal and mind blowing, this book is just mediocre. In comparison to all of the other erotic romance books out there, Masked Innocence may not be #1 but it would still be towards the top of my list! Although Masked Innocence was not a book that kept me up late at night and it did not have characters I missed when the story ended, you better believe that the minute after I finished book #2, I started on #3!

Much better storyline

The second book in the series brings a lot more to the table. Julia is all in, following Brad on a journey full of hot sex, unexpected drama, and lots of suspense. Julia shows how intelligent and strong she is, no matter her age. Brad is enamored with Julia, and shows to what lengths he'll go when his past collides with Julia's future.

"There is very little that scares me, Julia. But you certainly do."

The narrator did a great job at bringing the characters to life.

Not as Good as the First

review this one wasn't bad, just not as good as the first book. Ms. Torre tried to give more with the plot, but she could have stuck with the great scenes. i know the normal progression of a relationship, but there's was too quick for this couple. especially for Brad. he should have needed more time, but he was gung-ho for it all.
