Are you passionately dedicated to experiencing your full capacity for love? If so, you are in for a thrilling ride on the greatest journey imaginable. If that sounds like a tempting invitation, keep reading, and prepare to take in some life-altering truths: that as you get older, your love life can get better. That instead of fading, your relationships can flourish. That you can have more exquisite love and more passionate sex in the second half of life than you ever had before. Kathlyn and Gay Hendricks, the pioneering authors of the original best-selling book Conscious Loving, show you how in this guide to creating vibrant and joyful connections from your mid-40s onward.

Midlife is a time when we all face a choice: to settle into fixed routines and beliefs or to expand toward new horizons. With candor, compassion, and plenty of humor, drawing on experiments in the "living laboratory" of their own marriage as well as stories from their clients and colleagues, Katie and Gay offer insights and practices to help you:

  • Expand and enrich love by making your own creative essence your top priority
  • Take blame and criticism out of your communication with those you love
  • Use "presencing" to tap in to the flow of intimacy in every moment
  • Attract new love into your life
  • Enjoy the best sex ever

Whether you're partnered or single, Conscious Loving Ever After can light your way through the layers of unconscious relating that so many of us get caught in. From a set of powerful Fear Melters, a Ten-Minute Stuff Talk, and a Ten-Minute Heart Talk to a range of whole-body learning processes designed to translate ideas into action, here are the tools you need to transform your romantic life so you can thrive in your full capacity for love.

The Hendricks did an amazing job intellectually and compassionately exploring every nuance of self love and romantic love. Know yourself, know what you want, take ownership, and believe. That was the key message they delivered with aplomb.

I'm a huge fan of Gay Hendricks' book, The Big Leap. I mean that book was personally life changing. I am presently in a process of transformation and have been in psychotherapy for over 14 years. Also, my spouse and I have been struggling as the beginning of this book describes. As I have recently learned of this book, my wife agreed that we would give it a shot. WHAT A LET DOWN! As a trained scientist, I am very very careful to buy into any concept unless it can be tested and really implemented. I fully buy into the concept that we must make a conscious devotion to be happy. But to make a conscious devotion for creativity? Really? A blanket statement that everyone must devote themselves to be creative? I'm a creative person and for me, this is a no brainer. I've already devoted myself to creativity long before I heard this book. But my wife is very good at de-risking and assessing danger and logic of making any decisions. She is a classic type A person where I'm more of a non-type, maeching to the beat of my own drum. Knowing my wife, she would hear this and shudder. Even for me, listening to two married psychologists pumping their own egos with anecdotal experiences is really really annoying. Feelings like sitting in meadows experiencing euphoria? WHAAAT??? I'm bummed I spent 13 bucks on this. What a remarkable separation and inconsistency from "The Big Leap". They try to make it sound linked to the concepts in that book, but really, it's quite a departure. I think the biggest thing is they try to sell the concept of having better sex right at the beginning. I'm not a frigging caveman and this is not my primary objective. Can we get a little more intellectual here? With concrete facts and logic? Geez.

Really? Pass the Bongos, Daddio...
