Probably the best one yet.
This book was very intense. The performance by Joe Arden was probably one of the best performances I have heard in this genre. There is one particular part of the book that is extreamly intense and Joe acted it out amazingly. He brought the character to life. I love how the two narrators talk together.
Please note that this book is very deep and if you struggle with PTSD it will most likely be a very hard book to listen to. It is very well done though. Thank you Maxine Mitchell for a real book that isn't a normal fairy tale with a fued in the middle and then the main characters live happily ever after. Don't get me wrong I love those books as well. But there needs to be books that are "real" as well to bring you back to real life and make you reflect on what you do and don't have.

Unbreakable love... When is enough??? NEVER!
PTSD and over-the-top make out sessions continue. I don't know how CD Reiss comes up with stories that just keep unfolding and unfolding... there's no end. I can't see the end of the roller coaster... you come down only to go up higher. What a ride I'm on. The way she describes their love through so many challenging situations is unbelievable. Their lives and their love are constantly tested. They are truly unbreakable! When is enough? NEVER!
Love the way the narrators work together in this book... their intensity shows up clearly and its breathtaking. Loved every moment. They did such a wonderful job. Very powerful.
What a powerful series that is written and performed so well. It is definitely worth the listen. I know you will enjoy it. Loved all the characters. If you like intensity... this is for you!

Totally and Completely consumed by this Series!!!
The only reason I gave this book 4 stars, is because there's one more book in the series after this one and it's only gettin better!! Im not sure what it was about this series that drew me in so deeply, but I found myself losing sleep just to find out what would happen next.
I'm from a Military Family, so I found many parallels between myself and these characters. I've seen first hand the effect that Military life can have on individuals, whether they're Active Duty, Retired or Military Spouses. The Secrecy, the Cold Hard Facts and the Memories fought hard 2 Forget. It's all so very real and this Series hit correctly on so many different aspects of it!! Kudos 2 the Author!!!
and OMG, the narration is Incredible!! If these two narrators weren't my favorites before this Series, they definitely are now. Joe and Maxine don't just read to you, they BECOME Caden and Greyson and they take what is already a great book, and make it Amazing! I could honestly "FEEL" Cadens pain and Greysons fear. Joe and Maxine made these characters Real and Tangible!!
Definitely worth a credit!! Can't Wait to start on the Last Book, OVER THE EDGE!

It just keeps getting better!
I really can not say enough about how thrilling this story is! Each book in this series just gets bettrr and better. The narration is perfect and the story is so gripping. I'm starting book 4 right meow!

OMG!!!
This ending kills me every time!! I am a CD Reiss fan…. Hardcore… and these… are so very good!!! Caden and Greyson are characters you can believe and their connection is undeniable. All she wants to do is protect her husband, and to help him.
Will her actions cause her to be the one that needs saving!?!? I can’t wait to find out!!
Again…. Joe Arden and Maxine Mitchell…. Need I say more?

The writing, the performances & the stakes... WOW!
I will start by saying how glad I was to wait for his book to release in audio. I could have chosen just to read the book but I know there is nothing like C.D. Reiss stories on audio!! This being said I will be up front and confirm that this book is a very crazy and unexpected ride. Just when you think you know where she is taking you as a listener you are completely taken in for a loop. I have learned to expect the unexpected with C.D. Reiss and this series, and in particular this book, is a true testament to her genius and her art. Caden and Grayson as characters are so well written and believable, and the storyline is so intense and gripping that when you are in-deep in the narration you forget that there are performers reading the words. Joe Arden, in my opinion, performs one of his best dramatic moments in this audio and OMG I was left breathless and utterly entranced. Maxine Mitchell out does herself with this performance! There are so many layers to Grayson (wife, friend, sister, daughter, doctor, woman, etc.) and she is able to play with nuances and emotion flawlessly. I am nervous as to what book 4 has in store, but you can bet that I'll be on the lookout for the conclusion to this series in audio. BRAVO!!!!

Drama and angst!
C.D. Reiss is one of my top 5 authors because of her dramatic stories and the flawed characters she creates that grab me by the heart every single time. Joe Arden and Maxine Mitchell are fabulous together.
