Raiders of Valhalla MC

Life doesn’t prepare you for this type of shit. The mother of my children is dead and now I’m on my way back to Tallahassee. I told my sons what happened, but my daughter’s another story. She’s so young, so innocent, and I don’t want to rip her heart open, but I can't lie to her.

Being a Nomad, I always thought it was best for my boy to be with his momma. I was constantly on the road and it wasn't the place for a kid. Sure, I wanted him with me as much as possible, but constantly moving isn't the type of life I wanted for him. Now, things have changed and I'm not ridin' around the States as much as I used to. Sure, I still go out, but we have a satellite club in Tallahassee. When my son begged for me to let him move in with me . . . I knew something happened, but when he told me, I saw red.

At a club barbeque we were shot up by enemies. I was with our VP's daughter and covered her body to shield her from the gunfire. Thankfully, she was spared from the bullets, but I wasn't as lucky. I could barely breathe and blood was effortlessly flowing out of my body. The club kept me alert until the paramedics got there, and the woman in the back kept me awake. She told me things and was kind. I knew in that moment I wanted to see her again, but now it's months later and I think I've lost out on my chance of finding her again.

The Raiders of Valhalla MC have been part of my life for as long as I could remember. Lately, there's been some heavy stuff happening at the club. A spa burned down, we saved kids from a horrible situation, and one of my brother's was recently shot. Still, we thrive and persevere with every step. I thought after everything I'd finally have a break. Looking back now, I should've known better. Something tragic happened to my family, and now I'm the sole caregiver to my 3 year old niece, Everly. I thought being her guardian would be the last shake up in my life, but I was wrong.

The one thing I love about my life is that when I go through shit, I'm not alone. The club's always got my back. I've been seeing Vail for a while now and when a series of old photographs are brought to light, Vail almost leaves. I almost lost the best thing in my damn life. While things might've been fine, I wasn't going to simply let it go.

In the past I wasn't a good man. No one had to tell me 'cause I already knew it. I made mistakes and I screwed up more times than I could count. It's what led my ol' lady, Skadi, to leave. For so long I was angry. In fact, I was furious that she left that I began drowning my sorrows in alcohol. Years had gone by and I still held onto anger because I felt like she abandoned me. But, she didn't. She did what she thought was right. She left me because of my immature actions.

My brothers have been on me for ages about being with Esperanza, the club’s lawyer, but I always wrote it off. I always told myself I shouldn’t mix business with pleasure, and that we wouldn’t be a good match. I figured we were cut from the same cloth and it would be a disaster . . . that is, until I crossed a line with her one fateful night. I was weak and alcohol was swarming through our veins. Love was in the air, and I guess we both didn’t want to be alone. It was circumstantial that we even ended up in her bed in the first place, but after that first time, I wanted more.

Our club has been knocking down one enemy after the next, and soon enough, we might be able to finally live in peace. At least, that’s what we’re all hoping for. I, on the other hand, know that any peace we have will be short-lived. There’s always someone else lurking around the corner, waiting to cause problems. The club is hunting Roque down like the rabid dog he is, and after that, Dag asks for help tracking down his abusive former stepfather.

With one of our enemies finally gone, we all thought we’d have an easy couple of months until someone else rose from the ashes. What we didn’t expect was for it to happen a lot sooner than we thought. It didn’t take months. In weeks there was another snake we needed to take down. In the midst of learning about our new enemy, another one was closing in on the club. Rayna and her mother had been targeted by her step-father ever since he was released from a Federal penitentiary. What did he do first?

We only lived in peace for a month before the Culebra cartel sent us a message: they wanted revenge for what we did to Roque. We killed him, and in doing so, we thought the cartel would fall. Little did we know the cartel didn’t die with Roque, instead someone else claimed his power. Now we’re dealing with an enemy we don’t even know.
