Astrid Atomic, a 6-year-old human person, goes to bed every night like every other 6-year-old human person. But unlike many other 6-year-olds she doesn’t stay there. The minute the lights are off and the coast is clear the Space Cadet siren goes off, her uniform goes on, and 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 - WHOOSH! - she blasts off on board the spaceship Stardust! Along with her best pal's Beryl, Professor Quackers and Zoink, Astrid is given her mission from The Chief - to clean up the Milky Way! But when a nearby alien is in trouble and with giant snaliens around, things aren't likely to go to plan!

Astrid Atomic and her best friends, the Space Cadets, have been given an important mission from the Chief – to retrieve the special trophy for the Supersonic Saturn Race! Tonight they'll have to fly under boiling hot lava waterfalls, zoom through fields of flaming flowers and sneak past a big, toothy, scary space monster! And things go from bad to worse when they realise that the naughty Dr Boris Uranus on their tail. Will they get to the trophy before time runs out?

Astrid and the gang are excited to help two scientists track down a mysterious, never before documented family of fish who are rumoured to be living on an underwater planet. But isn’t long before things take a shocking turn when Astrid and the Space Cadets discover that they have been tricked. The scientists are actually infamous Intergalactic Sea Bandits! Can the gang catch the Sea Bandits and rescue the treasure? It’s going to prove a difficult job especially when they find themselves swallowed whole by one of the Guard Sharks . . .
