In the Greek legend, a sculptor, Pygmalion, created a statue of a woman so beautiful that he fell in love with it. Later the goddess Aphrodite responded to his earnest prayers and brought the statue, named Galatea, to life. Shaw's Pygmalion is a fussy unmarried professor of phonetics, Henry Higgins, who claims that he could train an uneducated person off the street to speak so that he or she could pass as a member of the aristocracy. His Galatea is Eliza Doolittle, who sells flowers at Covent Garden and whose father is a dissipated but cunning vagrant.

Rosaline knows that she and Rob are destined to be together. Rose has been waiting for years for Rob to kiss her - and when he finally does, it’s perfect. But then Juliet moves back to town. Izzy Sage is settling into her new job, enjoying her new romance, and only has one thing on her mind: choosing a new assistant to help her at Belle Isle’s death gate. The mystery of the other side is dark and deep and Zoe finds she’s intrigued...even if her methods are a bit extreme for the Grimlocks.

Luna Thorn’s past is a mystery...even to herself. She arrived in Detroit amid a swirl of lights and magic. She had no memory of where she came from. No idea why she was there. Years later, she’s established herself as a force to be reckoned with on the Detroit magical scene. She ingratiated herself with the local reapers. She set up a community called the Cathedral to help those who had been displaced from their homes and families, declaring that nobody would fall through the cracks. Still, doubt remains.

Izzy Sage is a woman on a mission. She’s determined to find the creatures wearing her parents’ faces...and end them. Unfortunately, the trouble bubbling up on Belle Isle has to take precedence, especially when violence lands in her backyard. A prison van is involved in a wreck in downtown Detroit, allowing 50 high-risk inmates to escape. Several of them make a beeline straight for the island - there are boats to steal for escape after all - and Izzy manages to take them out without much trouble. That’s only the start, however.

Izzy Sage was looking for answers when she took a job as keeper of the death gate in Detroit. Unfortunately, the answers being delivered aren’t what she was hoping for. Personal worries have to take a backseat, though, because the reaper world is in an uproar. News that their former leader Renley Hatfield was working with the enemy has spread, but that doesn’t mean the good guys can trust everybody that’s left.

Oliver Twist is the well-loved tale of an orphan, who starts life in a workhouse and finds himself embroiled in London's criminal underworld, before being saved by a kind gentleman who knows something of his surprising family history. A satire and social commentary as well as a page-turning yarn, full of grit, wit, and some of the most memorable characters in English Literature. The second published serialised novel by Charles Dickens, The British Library remarks that "it has proven to be one of the best-loved novels in the history of literature".
