Let me begin by saying I am passionate about history. I love the lifestyles of the bygone eras. I love how tough and yet how simple life was. Sleeping under the stars was a regular life for some. Traveling the lands was the life for others. The book you are about to listen to is in the public domain. And for that, I am thankful. That way, I can keep it as much to the original as possible.

Who are the Jehovah's Witnesses? Many of us have seen or been visited by folks calling themselves Jehovah's Witnesses. Most of us have slammed the door in the faces of these hard working young men and women as they try to share their gospel with us. I, however, use to delight in conversation with such folks as these, not to be argumentative but to try and understand their doctrine.

Cash Hollow is where I grew up; it was an unusual place. We were surrounded by hills on each side of the road, with offshoot veins of other roads crisscrossing throughout the hollow. This book does fall into the same universe as my other series of books I call the Noir series. In those books you can hear about the gritty world of detectives, reporters, and gangsters. Well, that world exists here as well except here you have men and women who are willing to work outside of the law on both sides to get a job done. Whereas the other books focus on the aforementioned detectives, private and otherwise, here the focus is more on the ones that hide who they are.

When I write I get lost in the world that I create. I can visualize places and people as I write them and with the Sons of Thunder I get completely lost in the time in which it takes place. It is just before the turn of the century where men were men and women were women there was no confusion in that fact people loved hard lives yet they made the best of what they had.
