Ich bin nur eine gebrochene Meeresnymphe, deren Magie nie in Erscheinung trat. Die einzige Möglichkeit, Lily zu retten, befindet sich in seinem Unterwasserpalast, und ich habe nichts mehr zu verlieren.

Quand un dieu guerrier aussi splendide que redoutable prétend que je suis son unique moyen de restaurer son pouvoir perdu, je sais que je ne peux pas lui faire confiance. Arès a beau être le plus bel homme que j'aie jamais vu, il correspond en tout point à la brute que les mythes dépeignent. Cela dit, je ne suis pas un ange, moi non plus, et il déclenche un feu en moi... un brasier que j'ai passé toute ma vie à essayer de contrôler.

Je suis prise au piège de l'enfer. Ici, tout ou presque essaie de me tuer. Même le dieu qui prétend m'avoir aimée est à un cheveu de mettre un terme à ma vie. Mais tout est sur le point de changer. J'en ai par-dessus la tête d'être Perséphone, une simple outsider dans les Épreuves d'Hadès.
