From the creative minds behind Are You Afraid of the Dark (Audible’s Best Listens of 2023), writer Mac Rogers crafts the intriguing, revealing, and captivating tale of the Audible Original, Witness.

Two vastly different worlds collide when an Amish boy, Samuel Lapp, becomes the sole witness to the murder of an undercover cop while visiting Philadelphia with his mother Rachel. Assigned to the case, narcotics detective John Book vows to protect Samuel and uncover the killer.

But when the investigation takes a gut-wrenching turn, the lives of Rachel, Samuel, and Book are bound together in a fight for survival. The trio flees to a place forsaken by modern society to escape the killer’s crosshairs. But hiding cannot protect Book and Rachel from a forbidden longing that threatens to destroy the delicate balance between their worlds. With their hunters closing in, how far will Book and Rachel go to protect what they love?

Exciting!

It's an excellent production! I listened to it twice in one day. It's just as good as the movie but in audio form. The voice actors were great, too

Gripping and Fun!

Listened to this on a road trip with our teenagers and we all loved it. The performances were fantastic and the story super compelling. We were so interested that we watched the movie afterwards and thought the updates and additions to it were great. Loved that both Samuel and Rachel got more agency and that Samuel, in particular, got to be funny. Highly recommend.

Gripping and Brilliantly Acted!

This podcast was exceptional. All of the voices are perfect and the acting is superb. It’s extremely well done. If you have seen the movie with Harrison Ford and Kelly McGillis, then you kind of know what happens already, but there are some additional things on here that were not in the movie. I highly recommend it.

One of the best audio dramas I've listened to in a while.

wow this was truly an impressive production. All of the actors did a fantastic job especially the main trio. I remember watching the movie as a kid like 30 years ago and liking it, so I was wondering how they would take a 2 hour movie and make close to 5 hours and whether it would be slow, but nope it caught my attention and I listened in one go. having the extra time allowed the characters to get fleshed out more, both good and bad. sometimes in audio dramas if there is an action or fight scene it's just a bunch of grunts but in this it's easy to know what's happening. if you want a good suspenseful story, check this one out.

LOVED THIS!!! 😊❤️👏🏼

This was so good, so entertaining, so addictive! I just absolutely LOVED every minute of it! All the narrators were awesome! I especially loved Book, Rachel & Samuel, though…they were perfect! ❤️ I’m just sad it’s done. Would love to listen to more of their story! 😊
