In this episode Thomas sits down with an old friend and fellow activist Jazmyne McCrae to talk about her work as an educator in 2022, her role as an organizer within Repeal the Heritage Act SC and EmpowerSC, and what life within the pandemic within those roles looks like nowadays.

Jazmyne McCrae is a high school teacher in South Carolina and community advocate/activist. She is the VP of Repeal the Heritage Act, an organization that works to advocate for the removal of legislation that protects Confederate monuments in SC and raises awareness in communities and on campuses that have these symbols in places of esteem. She was born in New York but raised in SC, proud to call it home and is committed to creating a better state one classroom and one community at a time.
