    Today’s Scripture: Luke 21:20-28 NIV

    __________

    Luke 21:20-28 NIV

    20 “When you see Jerusalem being surrounded by armies, you will know that its desolation is near. 21 Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those in the city get out, and let those in the country not enter the city. 22 For this is the time of punishment in fulfillment of all that has been written. 23 How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers! There will be great distress in the land and wrath against this people. 24 They will fall by the sword and will be taken as prisoners to all the nations. Jerusalem will be trampled on by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.

    25 “There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea. 26 People will faint from terror, apprehensive of what is coming on the world, for the heavenly bodies will be shaken. 27 At that time they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. 28When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.”

    Luke 21:28 MSG

    When all this starts to happen, up on your feet. Stand tall with your heads high. Help is on the way!

    Ephesians 5:1-2 NIV

    1 Follow God’s example, therefore, as dearly loved children 2 and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.

    Matthew 9:5 NIV

    Which is easier: to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Get up and walk’?

    1) WEIGH THE COST

    Deuteronomy 31:8 NIV

    8 The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”

    2) ACT

    Proverbs 29:18 KJV

    18 Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.

    3) LOSE LIMITING LANGUAGE

    1 Corinthians 2:9 NIV

    But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

    1 Corinthians 1:27 NIV

    But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong.

    2 Corinthians 1:3-4 NIV

    3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.

    4) KEEP WALKING THE PATH

    Ephesians 5:15-17 ESV

    Look carefully how you walk, not as unwise, but at wise; redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Don’t be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.

    Isaiah 52:2-7 NIV

    2 Shake off your dust;
    rise up, sit enthroned, Jerusalem.
    Free yourself from the chains on your neck,
    Daughter Zion, now a captive.

    3 For this is what the Lord says:

    “You were sold for nothing,
    and without money you will be redeemed.”

    4 For this is what the Sovereign Lord says:

    “At first my people went down to Egypt to live;
    lately, Assyria has oppressed them.

    5 “And now what do I have here?” declares the Lord.

    “For my people have been taken away for nothing,
    and those who rule them mock,”
    declares the Lord.
    “And all day long
    my name is constantly blasphemed.
    6 Therefore my people will know my name;
    therefore in that day they will know
    that it is I who foretold it.
    Yes, it is I.”

    7 How beautiful on the mountains
    are the feet of those who bring good news,
    who proclaim peace,
    who bring good tidings,
    who proclaim salvation,
    who say to Zion,
    “Your God reigns!”
