    For the second part of the history and inhabitants of this infamous penal colony we will be discussing the legend of Papillion. Henri Charriere who wrote the famous book by the same title and the movies that followed, but were these his stories alone? Charles Brunier claimed he was the true inspiration and others believed it was Rene Belbenoit who partook in cannibalism with his fellow escapees becoming the inspiration for the movie "Condemned to Devil's Island" and "Passage to Marseille" staring Humphrey Bogart. We will never know who was the real Papillion, but listen to this weeks episode so you may draw your own conclusion.

you NEED this podcast in your life!!!

Okay I have listened to A LOT of true crime podcasts and this is BY FAR one of my absolute favorite one. Not only is it one of the most informative podcasts I’ve listened to, the details that they share are incredible. I love how much I am learning by listening to them and I love how they make it so easy to follow!!! I can’t wait to to the rest of the episodes!!! THEY NEED TO BE ON ALL PLATFORMS!!! 😍😍😍
