The Story of Damon & Pythias is a Greek Legend about the power of true friendship. It is set in the Greek Island of Sicily. Versions of the tale differ, but the best known of these variants is that told by Cicero in De Officiis. When one of the two friends is condemned to death by Dionysius I, tyrant of Syracuse, he asks to be granted time to put his affairs in order.
