• The Awareness Studio: Transforming Relationships with Patty Farinola
    Feb 18 2025
In this episode of the Women's Sanctuary podcast, host Arlia Hoffman had an in-depth conversation with Patty Farinola of the Awareness Studio about her unique, holistic approach to counseling and therapy, which integrates psychology and spirituality. Patty shared insights into her program 'Serenity, Power, and Freedom,' her journey from corporate marketing to spiritual counseling, and the importance of addressing common relationship themes such as entering relationships for the wrong reasons, feeling 'not good enough,' and the necessity for professional guidance. Patty also discussed her use of the Tree of Life astrology in her counseling practice and its alignment with aspects of the Enneagram, providing a comprehensive perspective on clients' consciousness and life lessons. She offered tips for improving relationships and the relevance of holistic healing practices for achieving spiritual and emotional well-being. About Patty: You have probably heard the saying, “The quality of your life is directly related to the quality of your relationships.” Whether at work or at home, in business or in love, relationships can be both profoundly fulfilling and extremely challenging. The difference between the two depends on your ability to communicate graciously and effectively, reduce emotional reactivity, and increase trust and appreciation. Patty helps people turn relationship pain into power and purpose by identifying old, unproductive habits and replacing them with new, soul-satisfying ones to create, as Brené Brown says, “courage, compassion, and connection.” What makes Patty unique is her holistic approach, which includes counseling and coaching, assessments and astrology, and universal spiritual principles to bring clients to new levels of happiness through better, more successful relationships. For example, Patty has helped single women become happily married, she has counseled married couples to improve communication and connection, and assisted people in addiction recovery in having healthy sober relationships. Patty started her professional career in the corporate world, gaining experience in a variety of fields including sales, marketing, finance, technology, and executive management with industry leading Fortune 100 corporations and privately held firms. She worked for such companies as Coca-Cola, Bank South (now Bank of America), and S1 Corporation (now ACI Worldwide). Her last position was Managing Director of Marketing for Georgia Natural Gas. Patty left corporate to pursue her life’s work, which combines individual and couples counseling, and spiritual direction to help people address life’s challenges, transitions, goals and events. With a focus on the journey to self-awareness, inner peace, and personal power, her work with clients covers a variety of areas, including addiction and codependence recovery and creating happy and healthy love relationships. She holds a Masters in Sacred Theology (STM). Website About The Women's Sanctuary The Women's Sanctuary was founded in 2014 as a haven for women to be in community.
