• The security risk identified puts a lot of equipment already onsite and possibly at your facility at risk of spying/interference from foreign governments.
• The low-cost cameras companies have gotten used to are cheap because the Chinese government intentionally undercut the market to drive out competition and get their units in U.S. company facilities. Get used to paying 2-4x the cost you have in the past.
• Plan now, since there is a major overhaul of security equipment around the country. If you thought lead times on new equipment are challenging right now from the COVID induced supply chain disruptions, just wait until federal and other agencies mandated to upgrade cameras start placing orders - get a plan now or you risk not having access to secure equipment for a while.
