sales

I can definitely attest to one of the certain retailers you mentioned adverise their sales VERY well. When I worked at said retailer, the same mediocre sale we had been having the week prior, the signs for that sale were only made bigger and brighter (but the same small percentage off) for the upcoming "holiday sale." People rushed to the "great sale," although they were unfortunately only rushing to bigger, brighter signs. :(

College before retirement?

Hi Rachel! I’ve started very late on my journey at age 50 but I was forced to teach personal finance at my middle school and listening to your program has done a world of good for me. Thank you so much! My question is about children and savings for a college. I lost money in their savings account for college and I am about $15,000 short. I do not want them to take personal loans so I feel the need to save this money gazelle style in the next 24 months I know I can do it. But I do not have an emergency fund saved. I’m wondering your thoughts on my thinking and this process. Would you be willing to do a show on which savings are more important especially when it comes to saving for children’s college?
