    Nov 29 2024

The FAN Morning Show continues into its final hour of the week with Ben Ennis & Brent Gunning continuing to talk hockey and mostly Maple Leafs. The hosting duo start on the Top Prospects showcase that took place this week with the first ever CHL-USA Prospects Challenge. B&B bring on Sportsnet’s own Jason Bukala who was in attendance with his thoughts and if there is a “Re-thinking the top of the NHL Draft rankings”. (2:11) Next the trio turn their attention to the Maple Leafs and the week they’ve had: a seemingly weird schedule for the team still playing without their Captain and reports leaking of numbers that a couple of their “Core Four” is looking for. They dive into all of it and how a great recent record prior to Wednesday’s game with the Panthers has quelled the panic in Toronto. In the back end of the hour, the morning pair turn their attention back to the MLB offseason, some late drama in the Soto Sweepstakes that has “insiders” battling online. MLB Network’s Adnan Virk joins to discuss it all. (27:15) Have the favourites to land the Dominican superstar changed? Where makes the most sense? What are the various teams selling to him? And does it really simply come down to the dollar figure? The trio weigh in on it all. They also get into some possible Blue Jays trade targets and look ahead to the next Monday Night Prime Hockey which features the Maple Leafs.
