• James Acaster, Clinton Baptiste, and the Radio X Christmas drinks #474
    Dec 13 2024

Could you name all the presenters on Radio X? Some can do better than others…

Welcome to The Chris Moyles Show on Radio X Podcast where someone on the team had some trouble waking up for the show after the Radio X drinks this week!

We had the brilliantly funny James Acaster on, he had some feedback for our very own comic, Mr Dominic Byrne, and also revealed that Chris is not only his inspiration, but also what he thinks about when he has a poo.

If you’re worried about what the new year holds, don’t be! We had psychic extraordinaire Clinton Baptiste in to tell us about the bright things 2025 has to offer. I’m getting the word…

The one and only Captain G has been busy this week, and Dom’s having a Mongolian BBQ, we’ll tell you what that entails. Listen out for an invite to that, and for this:

    • We’ve got a naughty Xmas card
    • Captain is feeling hot hot hot
    • The Radio X secret santa

    Enjoy!

  • Alex James, Vinnie Jones, and… Father Christmas #473
    Dec 6 2024

Can you taste the difference between prosecco and champagne?

Welcome to The Chris Moyles Show on Radio X Podcast! It’s Pippa’s birthday this weekend so the team tested whether Pippa can put the ‘pro’ in Prosecco…

Christmas has officially come to town, and we kicked it off right here with a beautiful cover of Michael Buble from Chris and Dom.

You better not cry, you better not pout, I’m telling you why…because we had legendary footballer and tough guy Vinnie Jones on the show to tell us all about the nerve racking moment he walks on stage in the West End production of Only Fools and Horses: The Musical.

We also had a cheesy chat with Blur bassist, Alex James, covering all the important points like his new book, farm life, and his attempts at making a giant frazzle.

This week also featured a Pubcast debrief (it’s coming!) so listen out for hangovers, and for these moments:

    • Our voice over’s perfect burp
    • The studio door won’t open
    • Mr Frosty has had a revamp

    Enjoy!

  • Sir Bob Geldof, Alex Horne, and Dom’s Comedy Debut #471
    Nov 29 2024

Would you be able to last 5 minutes? Let me explain shortly!

Welcome to The Chris Moyles Show on Radio X Podcast!

Our very own Dominic Byrne had the daunting task of facing a stand-up night at the Comedy Store called King Gong! You’ll hear his full set, and what the team thought of it, but remember, you can’t spell comedy without Dom! We also speak to the compere of the night, Jarred Christmas, who gave Dom the offer of a lifetime!

It really was a revolving door of guests this week! We catch up with Sir Bob Geldof about the new Band Aid remix to celebrate forty years of ‘Do They Know It’s Christmas’!

We loved chatting to the brains behind Taskmaster, Alex Horne! He came by to talk about his new book An Absolute Casserole: The Taskmaster Compendium.

And as a special Friday treat, good friend of the show Jake Bugg popped into Radio X headquarters to chat with the team!

If that isn’t enough for you bunch of content hungry so-and-so’s, we also had:

    • A Pot Noodle taste test
    • A surprising Kate Nash update
    • A heated conversation about the studio aircon

    Enjoy!

  • Phil Dunster, Matt Friend, And A Bad Experience With Whisky #471
    Nov 22 2024

Who on the team can do the best impressions?

Welcome to The Chris Moyles Show on Radio X Podcast! ‘Twas the week before Dom’s stand-up debut, and all through the show… we asked Dom if he had material, and the answer was ‘no’....

We heard a lot of voices on the show this week, all coming from the wonderful Matt Friend, who proved that if you keep practising your impressions they WILL get better!

Phil Dunster also popped in to tell us about his incredible upcoming event for charity and his secret new HBO series that no one knows anything about…

Rob Riner ruled himself incapable of finding love, and Sara Gaul, who previously won King Gong, was on call to give Dom some (much needed) support.

Dom did some 1 liners, but these bits from the Pod are much funnier:

    • 1000 days of Brown Haven
    • Chat decides who’s funny
    • James makes his pole bigger

    Enjoy!

  • Denzel Washington, Katherine Ryan and Dom is Making His Stand-Up Debut #470
    Nov 15 2024

Who on the team do you think can last the longest on a bucking bronco?

Welcome to The Chris Moyles Show on Radio X Podcast! It was Dom’s birthday on Sunday and the team gave him his present, which is to perform his first ever comedy show at a King Gong night!

This week has been a ride, and luckily for Dom we had the wonderfully funny Katherine Ryan AND David Baddiel to give him some tips of what to do, and more importantly not to do, in his stand-up debut.

Also, this week, Dom conducted the best, yet simultaneously worst interview ever with the legendary Denzel Washington (Sorry about that Denzel). And F1 legend Guenther Steiner made a pit stop to talk about how got into the world of Formula One racing.

We can’t promise that Dom’s material will make you laugh, but you can count on these moments:

    • Jeremy Vine is Alan Partridge
    • Dom only lasts 5 seconds
    • Smell my fingers

    Enjoy!

  • Ed Byrne, Nick Mohammed, and Chris Moyles returns #469
    Nov 8 2024

Is it weird to batch cook your lunch?

Welcome to The Chris Moyles Show on Radio X Podcast! It was Bumfire night this week, sorry, BONfire… and we had not 1, not 2, but 3 comedians on the show!

Ed Byrne gave us a call to have a pantless chat about the world’s longest comedy tour…once he eventually woke up…

Then we continued the laughs with Paul Smith, the comedian, NOT the designer, who revealed what he does with the money he saves on not having a manager. Nick Mohammed also joined the team in his brand new jumper, but not before he packed the kids’ lunches and emptied the dishwasher.

As if the line-up this week wasn’t funny enough, listen out for these fireworks:

    • Captain is Mr Motherlover
    • Big Brother ‘OMG Jackie’ meme
    • Pep Guardiola likes it, loves it, wants it

    Enjoy!

    Nov 1 2024

Are you ready for a somewhat awkward family reunion??

Welcome to The Chris Moyles Show on Radio X Podcast! Toby, Dom and Crapdad took over this week; what could possibly go wrong...

This week we were visited by a lovely Scandinavian lady… not Toby’s mum but SANDI TOKSVIG, there must be something in the Scandinavian water because even she took a liking to Captain Crapbeard.

We also had Felix and Hugo White from the Maccabees in to celebrate Toby’s Birthday and talk all things reunion, All Points East, and the star-studded line-up at Hugo’s wedding. Plus Simon Rimmer dropped in to debut his Movember style aspirations.

As if that wasn't enough, we were also joined by Billy Crystal (The almost Buzz lightyear) so listen out for that tale, and for this:

    • Daddy’s home.
    • Halloween scary surprises
    • Messages from Mummy

    Oct 25 2024

You are going to LOVE this week’s podcast, unless your name is Captain Crapbeard…

Welcome to The Chris Moyles Show on Radio X Podcast! Pippa was away this week but I’m sure you won’t be able to tell.

This week kicked off with a visit from one of the 3 Rugby Stooges himself, James Haskell, who joined us to talk all things good, bad and ugly- no sorry, Rugby. On the opposite end of the spectrum, the beautiful Emily Atack came in to tell us the (very) naked truths about her new series ‘Rivals’.

We even had the Italian Stallion himself, Gino D’Acampo in the studio to really get us on the Air Fryer hype, mamma mia. AND (yes AND) Kate McKinnon. From Saturday Night Live to Friday morning radio, weird barbie herself joined Chris and the gang in the mojo dojo casa studio.

As if that wasn't enough, we were also joined by RazorLight for a LIVE acoustic performance, so listen out for that, and for this:

    • Wikipedia fact checks
    • Dom’s bag is up to mischief
    • Captain Crapdad

    Enjoy!
