    Nov 22 2024

It's Season Two of The AHL Pre-Show! Andrew Rinaldi and Deanna McFeron are back to preview the upcoming week of American Hockey League games. Along the way - our hosts are sure to provide you with a healthy dose of chaotic energy, pop culture references, and everything in between as they break down the weekend action ahead.

The crew breaks down the past week in AHL action featuring the most abysmal team in the land and another that's less abysmal but aesthetically horrifying in stolen jerseys. It's not all doom and gloom for Cleveland and Grand Rapids though! Can the Barracuda sustain their opening season success with Yaroslav Askarov moving up to the Sharks?

What about the look ahead, you say? Laval and Belleville get ready to crack some heads again. Are the Wild legit in the Central? They have a chance to prove it in Grand Rapids. Milwaukee and Cleveland duke it out as they look for first place in their respective divisions. And finally - the question everyone is asking: will Utica win a game this season?

It's the hockiest hockey to ever have hockeyed, and you can catch it all this week on TAPS.

Along the way - our hosts are sure to provide you with a healthy dose of chaotic energy, pop culture references, and everything in between as they break down the weekend action ahead.

The crew cap off a crazy week of AHL action. Utica's winless start has them on the look for a new coach. The Laval Rocket's red glare is lighting up the north division in all sorts of different ways. Ontario's Samuel Fagemo clearly tuned in to last week's episode - he and the Reign blew up offensively over the weekend. The crew even talks over a trade with big AHL implications!

Who's got the best hockey name in the North Division? Do we have a spoiler from the Pacific? The All-Name Tournament continues this week.

Finally, the crew goes over the big upcoming matchups of the week. Are the Eagles going to get some reinforcements before a big series with the Barracuda? Can the Moose establish an identity against a tough Texas team? Will Providence ever stop Bruining it?

It's Season Two of The AHL Pre-Show! Andrew Rinaldi and Deanna McFeron are back to preview the upcoming week of American Hockey League games. Along the way - our hosts are sure to provide you with a healthy dose of chaotic energy, pop culture references, and everything in between as they break down the weekend action ahead.

Last week's talk of fun names and fun vibes got our hosts thinking: who has the best hockey name in the AHL? Blade Jenkins? Waltteri Ignatjew? Andrew and Dea can only think of one way to resolve this: tournament style. It's simple: each team has one "best" name submission and only one can hoist the Calder Cup of Names. Each week the hosts will debate until only the best hockey name in the AHL remains.

The crew follows up bracketology with the preview of the week's games. Andrew does more apologizing for dunking on the Barracuda, but the San Diego Gulls can't escape his wrath. Dea thinks Laval and Providence could turn the clock back to the 90's, and who is line to keep up their October momentum into November? The weather is getting colder but the action on the ice is just starting to heat up!
