absolutely in love with this show. some of the stories are friggin BONKERS, some of them are really heavy/serious. these spooky gals have ✨perfected✨ the art of balancing their witty & silly banter with the care and respect with which these stories deserve to be told.

they're also passionately outspoken about the things they believe in, which is refreshing to see- especially since some of my other favorite shows have seemed to water themselves down as their audiences have grown. In this house, we love unapologetic authenticity. I've been binging the last few months worth of episodes, but as soon as I'm caught up I'm gonna start from the beginning - I'm so excited!

Worth listening to, makes me laugh!

I stumbled on this podcast when I was at work and quickly just clicked on an random episode. I was instantly hooked! I usually don’t like podcasts where two people talk and banter but these guys are super funny, entertaining and they tell the best stories! They really get good information and tell stories extremely well. They make me LOL at work and I get many strange looks but I don’t care. I’ve been binging episodes for two weeks and I’m half way through, never skipping ahead. Love you guys and can’t wait to join the secret society once I’m all caught up, maybe even sooner if I can’t wait that long! ❤️💗🫶🏻

they tell unique, spooky and true crime content with respect and humor. they also have random trains of thought that make perfect sense to me everytime.

Johnny and Tyler became my friends during the pandemic- and kept me company on walks and while I worked on pottery. They have great stories and great research. I love their banter. Their podcast is somehow uplifting even though the subject matter isn’t always. For anyone who grew up loving Nancy drew and scooby doo- this podcast is for you!

some issues

I do love this podcast. however, johnny is such a negative person. i am a straight white female from the united states and no one makes me feel worse about who i am and where i am from. tyler seems so sweet, but johnny is just so critical while also claiming to know anything and everything. i feel that he brings tyler down. so disappointing as i do enjoy the content for the most part.

Grandpa and I love it!

Grandpa and I love the show. It is our special time together where we sit and listen to our favorite guys tell well constructed tales. Grandpa really enjoys the true crime portion, as he is ever vigilant and scoping out those who seem suspicious. I am positive the package delivery men are up to no good, I mean, if Grandpa is to be believed.

Perfect Spooky Sassy Silliness

I listen to very few podcasts because I find many either terribly boring or super annoying. But That’s Spooky has the perfect recipe to trigger my neurodivergent hyperfixation and I was instantly hooked! Johnny is my favorite mix of silliness and cynical sass and Tyler’s giggle instantly makes my day better. As a vet and a pet lover, I also love hearing all the Daphne and Fleetwood dachshund antics. Plus amazing merch for my late night insomnia impulse shopping. Fabulous work my dudes. Love, Timber (another spooky bitch)
