A key event in making one's calling and election made sure is obtaining that "knowledge" through the more sure word of prophecy. Through a heaven sent revelatory experience we can know our standing before the Lord. Bruce R. McConkie explains that this is having the "day of judgement advanced". This episode discusses how we can obtain this heavenly pronouncement. There are patterns in scriptural accounts of various individuals who did indeed receive this more sure of prophecy. As we study the patterns and clue into the phrases that we should be listening for, we will be more able to recognize this singular event in our own lives. Calling and Election is a doctrine of the priesthood that is misunderstood by many. While we are invited to make our Calling and Election sure, we are confused at how this process plays out in our individual lives. First, we must understand what "calling and election" even means. As we learn about the principles involved, the laws that must be obeyed, and the refining process that's required, the way forward is a lot more clear. Understanding the doctrine of calling and election is one of divine guidance and heavenly help. The journey to having one's calling and election is not out of reach and can be attained to in mortality. In fact the path forward to this supernal blessing lies within the our covenantal relationships with God the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ. This episode is Part 1 of a 3 part series that explores this less often studied eternal doctrine.

Elder Dieter F. Uchtdorf has commented that in relation to our Priesthood Power that, "our actions suggest that we live far beneath this potential." How do we even begin to understand what our potential is in relation to our priesthood power? What are the doctrines of the priesthood that we struggle to identify and implement? Julie and Michael are married spouses that both have their previous spouses on the other side of the veil. How does one continue to grow their previous covenantal relationship with their former spouse who is on the other side of the veil? And how to they continue to grow their current relationship with each other in this side of the veil? The power of the priesthood that exists within the covenantal relationship of the Patriarchal Order is not well understood. This episode discusses the doctrine of the Patriarchal Order, the importance and relevance of the priesthood within that sacred order, and the power we develop as we expand that order to include our ancestors. The Gathering of Israel is all about recovering those familial relationships that we once knew and held sacred within the walls of our Heavenly Home. Repeating the familial patterns and practicing the laws of the Patriarchal Priesthood we literally bring heaven closer to us as we strive to live as our Heavenly Parents. The veil thins as we become the righteous posterity that was promised to Adam and Eve, thus fulfilling the prophecies given to our first parents.

Jeremiah prophesied that in the last days there will be fishers and hunters of men who will seek and sacrifice all, that God's children will be gathered. He also prophesied that the miracles of the Gathering of Israel in Moses's time would be eclipsed by the miracles of the Gathering in the Last Days. This episode studies the miraculous events of both and reviews the characteristics of the fishers and hunters that were taught in a recent Liahona article by President Russell M. Nelson. Our thinning of the veil experiences should echo the revelatory experiences of Moses's. As fellow Gatherers, we will see the same pattern of deliverance as the ancient Children of Israel, testifying that the Lord is the GREAT I AM.

Colette shares more of her Thinning of the Veil experiences in this Part 2 episode. The miraculous ways that she is led to find her family on the other side of the veil in various different lands, is evidence of a loving Heavenly Father and Savior. The locations that Colette was prompted to find the "one" is truly remarkable. There is not a place to far, a task to great, or a mountain to high to climb, that will keep us from finding our lost family. If we will listen, the Spirit will show us all things that we must do and all places that we must go to gather our brothers and sisters. The Lord is truly hastening His work and whether digitally or physically, if we are listening, He will call us to scour the Earth to find the lost sheep and gather them into His fold.
