THE SLAUGHTER OF LAXMANPUR BATHE

  • Summary

  • "The Slaughter of Laxmanpur Bathe"

December 1, 1997 – A night of unimaginable horror. A hundred armed men from the Ranvir Sena, a ruthless upper-caste militia, crossed the Son River and stormed the Dalit village of Laxmanpur Bathe in Bihar. Their mission? Erase an entire community.

By dawn, 59 men, women, and children lay dead. Some were shot in the head execution-style. Pregnant women were disemboweled. Children as young as five had their skulls blown apart. The attackers vanished into the night—no police stopped them, no government protected the victims.

For 14 years, the case dragged on. In 2010, 26 killers were sentenced to death. In 2013, they were all acquitted. The courts called it a "lack of evidence." The message was clear—some lives matter less.

This episode of Caste Beat takes you deep into the massacre they want you to forget. We expose the political nexus, the police complicity, the courtroom betrayal, and the chilling reality of caste-based genocide in India.

💀 Justice was denied—but history will not be erased.
