  • Master of Me: Keke Palmer Reveals How She Took Control of Her Life & Story
    Nov 21 2024
What does it really mean to MASTER your life? This week, I’m joined by the incredible Keke Palmer—a true force in entertainment and beyond. Keke has lived a life many dream of, but her story isn’t just about the fame or the accolades. It’s about resilience, family, and becoming the master of her own narrative. From childhood stardom to tackling some of life’s hardest challenges, Keke opens up like never before. Her vulnerability will inspire you, and her insights will equip you to take control of your own life, no matter where you are today. Keke and I explore what it means to rise above trauma, self-doubt, and external expectations. She shares how she transformed hardships into stepping stones and took charge of her journey, refusing to be defined by her circumstances or the perceptions of others. We dive into the importance of self-awareness and why your narrative—not someone else’s—shapes your destiny. We also unpack the pressures of perfectionism and how waiting for “the right time” can cripple your dreams. Keke reveals how trial and error—not perfection—led her to success, and why being real with yourself is the foundation of true happiness. Key Takeaways: How to reframe trauma and challenges into unique strengths. The dangers of perfectionism and how to embrace growth through action. Why mastering your mind is the first step to mastering your life. Practical advice for financial independence and living intentionally. The role of community, accountability, and self-worth in finding happiness. Keke’s wisdom and authenticity remind us that life is about showing up for ourselves and redefining what success looks like on our terms. If you’re ready to own your story and take the wheel, this episode is your blueprint. Go get her book, Master of Me, and start becoming the hero of your own journey today. Max out! Nov 19 2024
Can You Build a $150M Business in Just 3 Years? That’s exactly what my guest today, Ryan Bartlett, did. As the founder and CEO of True Classic, Ryan scaled his company from zero to $150 million in just three years—and he’s only getting started. Now valued at nearly $1 billion, True Classic is rewriting the rules for what it takes to succeed in e-commerce. This conversation is an absolute game-changer for anyone who wants to understand the mindset, strategies, and work ethic behind building a thriving business in today’s world. In this episode, Ryan breaks down the key pillars of his success, including his unique approach to marketing, which he describes as “the best marketing isn’t marketing.” By prioritizing authenticity and creating content that makes people feel connected, True Classic has built a loyal customer base. But it doesn’t stop there—Ryan shares how relentless customer focus has set them apart, from premium products at accessible prices to moments of over-delivering on customer experience. We also dive into the real challenges of entrepreneurship. Ryan gets brutally honest about the emotional toll, the late nights, and the do-or-die moments, like betting $40 million on inventory. But his ability to turn risks into rewards and to lead with empathy has been critical to his company’s meteoric rise. If you’ve ever wondered whether entrepreneurship is worth the grind, Ryan’s insights will give you the clarity and inspiration you need. Key Takeaways: Marketing Done Right: Why emotional connection, not hard selling, is the real game-changer in building a brand. Customer Experience as a Superpower: How creating "wow" moments for your customers can make you unforgettable. Risk and Resilience: Ryan’s lessons from gambling big on his business and why fearlessness is essential in entrepreneurship. Scaling Without Sacrificing: The challenges of growing fast and keeping a strong culture intact. Ryan Bartlett’s story proves that success isn’t just about hard work—it’s about working smart, being relentless in creating value, and playing the long game. • 3 Rules To Master Self Control | Ed Mylett
    Nov 16 2024
Mastering Self-Control: 3 Rules You Need Today! Ever feel like your goals are within reach, but self-discipline keeps slipping away? In this episode, I’ve brought together some of the most powerful voices in personal development—Eric Thomas, Monica Aldama, Tim Grover, Ben Newman, Ryan Holiday, and Sam Acho—to tackle the fundamental rules for self-control. Self-discipline isn’t something you’re born with; it’s a skill you build daily. So together, we’re laying out three game-changing rules to help you focus, stay consistent, and reach the next level. First, I share a rule that transformed my productivity: identifying and eliminating “discipline stealers.” Whether it’s getting lost in sports highlights or scrolling on social media, these little distractions drain our focus and stop us from moving forward. When you understand what’s stealing your focus, you can cut it out and start making real progress. Eric Thomas digs into the power of “getting real” with yourself and committing to self-discipline. He shares how he had to face his own habits head-on to become the success he is today. Ben Newman talks about sacrifice and why real discipline often means choosing the harder path when the easy one is right in front of you. Tim Grover breaks down the mindset that made legends like Kobe and Michael the best in the world—the relentless pursuit of self-mastery and mental toughness. The next rule is about making discipline a habit by scheduling your priorities. From the outside, it might look like I’ve got ironclad self-discipline, but the truth is, I’ve built routines that keep me focused and performing at my best. Monica Aldama talks about her experience coaching college athletes and the importance of structure and accountability in keeping them focused on their goals. Sam Acho emphasizes that discipline isn’t just about scheduling work; it’s about making time for relationships and personal growth too. Finally, it’s all about keeping the promises you make to yourself. Ryan Holiday shares insights on how small, consistent actions are the foundation of self-mastery. Start with keeping small promises—whether it’s completing your morning workout or shutting off distractions at work—and let those victories build up your self-control over time. Key Takeaways: - Identify Your Distractions: Recognize and eliminate the things that drain your focus, so you stay on track. - Schedule Your Priorities: Treat self-discipline like a muscle and build routines that make high performance natural. - Keep Promises to Yourself: Start with small promises and let them grow into powerful habits of self-control. This episode is your roadmap for developing self-discipline that sticks. If you’re ready to cut out distractions, build routines that support your goals, and stay true to your vision, these three rules—and the wisdom from these guests—will set you up for success. Take action on these rules, learn from these legends, and start unlocking your full potential with the discipline to achieve your biggest dreams! excellent episode!

I hope you, Ed Mylett, got as much going I did out of this episode 2 1/2 years later, as the economy is circling the drain with a socialist president asleep at the wheel.

God bless all conservatives!

Ed never fails to get interesting guests on his show. I'll think to myself "hmm, never heard of this person," then I'll listen and it will be great. example. I'm not a fan of football, but listened to the Stephen A. Smith episode and it was great!

Ed is my inspiration to Max Out my life!

Ed Mylett has developed into the type of leader, mentor and Christian that I would confidently walk into a fire with trusting his heart to lead me to safety. I too am a sinner saved by the blood of Jesus Christ, who is looking to serve more people for the greater good. Thank You Brother for lighting the way for those of us still walking through the darkness!
