  • Summary

  • Following on from her examination of the weird and wonderful animal kingdom, this second season of Earpedia sees comedian Sue Perkins presenting a series of audio guides to the planet's most useful, bizarre and interesting plants.

Join Sue as she explores the truly horrible welwitschia mirabilis, which looks like a gateway into the pit of hell, the stony lithops plant, which resembles a dog's testicles, the technically poisonous cocoa plant, the caveman's discovery of rubber, and how much of the Venus flytrap's diet is actually flies.

It funformitive. But for adults.

Great in small doses but since episodes are like 15 minutes at most it is perfect. I like Sue Perkins humor she includes everybody and no one is the butt of her comedy. Thanks for the fun Sue.

Very Funny

A hilarious and entertaining series teaching interesting facts about various plants. Definitely not for young children because of language and some mild sexual innuendo.

Would have loved more with less silly dialogue

This series was really amazing. I absolutely loved the facts that were provided about each plant and truly enjoyed Sue’s sense of humor. HOWEVER, while the characterized dialogue, performed by Sue and another man, that took occurred throughout every episode was funny, there was just WAY too much of it. One or two little snippets sprinkled in each episode would be fine but the stupid scenarios took up more than half of each episode. I still listened to every episode because I sincerely enjoyed the information that was provided but I don’t know if I would recommend the series to someone who has less patience than I do haha! I made my husband listen to one with me and he did not like it at all because of the “side show” that went along with the episode.

Love it

Love Sue. She is funny but not necessarily good for children. Makes learning about new plants interesting.
