In addition to being a founding member of Brooklyn based metal band Life Of Agony in the early 1990s, Alan is an award winning author with over 25 books to his name, he's a comic book creator, illustrator, a member of the Metal Hall Of Fame and his album River Runs Red sits on Rolling Stone's list of the Greatest Metal Albums Of All Time.

Their first album, Prophet Ilja, is an absolutely wonderful first outing under the new band name. There are so many different facets to this album that the guys were reluctant to put them under just the black metal genre label. This album is dramatic, theatric, beautiful and is a great listen all the way around.

To get right to the point, The Last Will And Testament is a monster album worthy of everyone’s time. If you already know Opeth, then you know. What if a group of fellas from Colorado got together and mashed together 70s era progressive rock and psychelia with death metal? You get Blood Incantation, a band who's been making waves in the heavy music scene since 2011 with their genre spanning releases. With four full length albums and three EPs released 2013, their latest release ABSOLUTE ELSEWHERE is exceedingly well done. With some subtle (and some not-so-subtle) nods to huge bands from past to present, this album is a monstrous record. You'd be forgiven if you were to question how Blood Incantation was able to successfully work the differing styles together. Fear not, your questions will all be answered with the first listen.
