Ginosko - to know - experiential knowing, intimate relationship

• Ephesians 3:19 - to know
• Matthew 7:21-23 - never knew
• John 8:32 - will know (experiencing God through scripture)

Gnorizo - to make known - prayer and revelation

• Philippians 4:6 - make known (experiencing God through prayer)

Result of knowing and being known

• Being filled with all the fullness of God! (Ephesians 3:19)
• So that he will welcome you in saying I knew you! (Matthew 7:23)
• So that we will be set free! (John 8:32)
• So that the peace of God will card your heart and mind (Philippians 4:7)
• Evangelism through the Unity of believers: “The glory that you have given me I have given to them, that they may be one even as we are one, I in them and you in me, that they may become perfectly one, so that the world may know that you sent me and loved them even as you loved me.” (John‬ ‭17‬:‭22‬-‭23‬ ‭ESV‬‬)

Application:

• Block off intentional time to get into the secret place: Concentrate on Him - solitude, silence, listening, prayer, scripture, worship, listening unto knowing God and Him knowing you
• Go out of your way to fellowship with Christians outside of your normal circle: this will help give you a greater perspective of the Body and Bride of Christ unto knowing Him more completely or holistically
• Get around people who don’t believe in Jesus and love them like Jesus. Putting your experiential relationship on display will be an opportunity for a non-believer to know Him
