Acerca de esta escucha

In 2002, veteran reporter Vicky Ward was assigned what seemed like an easy story: Find the source of Jeffery Epstein’s money. The story turned hard, though, when she stumbled on early sexual abuse allegations about Jeffrey and Ghislaine Maxwell and Vicky found her professional and personal safety under threat. In Jeffrey’s absence, Vicky now chases Ghislaine’s secrets: her relationship to Jeffrey, what she knows of the building of his web of international elites, and the fate of his fortune.©2021 James Patterson Entertainment, LLC (P)2021 Audible Originals, LLC

Excellent and informative for anyone who’s followed the whole Epstein story this is very interesting under.

Excellent and informative

Gives a firsthand historical viewpoint from before everyone knew. I really appreciate the Reporters full disclosure and apologies during her struggle as a female, pregnant female, in a man's world pre Me Too movement. As a twin mom myself my heart broke for what Epstein did to her while she was doing her job.

Organized, informative relatable

Listen ... see what you think! It's one of those crazy cases of who "done it".

A little strange

Vicky Ward has one of the stuffiest British accents I have ever heard in my life.

Very interesting. Insight into the world of the super wealthy is absorbing. I don’t believe she hates men as one person believes. She is reporting on a world that most people would never be exposed to. Now after the Me Too movement has been exposing powerful men her story is even more relevant. What I don’t agree with is her thinking Ghislaine could get off as being the victim. Ghislaine’s story is sad and pathetic but she liked the power and the money.

Excellent

Intriguing - can’t stop listening. Love the narration. Interesting way of looking at Ghislaine.
Great viewpoints.

Love it

Padded with inane conversation with her editor. Old. Out of date nothing stories that she “knew” Maxwell because she met her at a couple parties twenty years ago. Paid uncorroborated sources. Really lazy.

Listened to three episodes and gave up.

This isn’t a story about men. How can you turn this into a me2 movement piece and defend while not defending that vile person. It’s not a story about men. It’s a story about a woman. A woman who did despicable things for money and the love of a piece of garbage that wouldn’t even reciprocate it. You cannot state that this story isn’t about “The ‘titled subject’ but about MEN. When it’s clearly about 1)a woman and 2) the disgusting things SHE did. A WOMAN who could have said NO (#ME2) and stopped or walked away or god forbid TELL SOMEONE! Don’t defend this woman for women. If so maybe this should be called something different. Like my hero Ghislaine

I object

I had to stop early on this one. Even though this story seemed to be about chasing Ghislaine who procured the young victims for Epstein. The author went out of her way to make sure we knew on more than one occasion in the very first chapter that although Ghislaine is responsible for her actions ,this story is really about men and how bad they are. She should have just told the story and left her man-hating prejudices at the door.

Author really dislikes men

This isn’t what I was expecting. It is very light on Maxwells involvement and abuse of girls and SUPER heavy on Epstein and socialites. Personally I feel this was self serving reporting and was more about what the reporter did / didn’t do than giving the story of Maxwell. I don’t recommend it

Disappointing
