We love getting care packages, especially when the packages contain beer!

Todays package contains beer from up and coming Kiwi Brewery "Urbanaut". Although only 5 years old they have already gained plenty of attention here in Australia with their unique and highly original "Beer Blender" Series.

These beer though...are a different breed. Three expertly crafted, very boozy little cans of deliciousness. They can may be small but they are pocket rockets.

Let's be honest, Christmas is an expensive time of the year. Between the endless presents for an ever expanding family or throwing money at wava after wave of Christmas parties there is barely enough cash left over for decent beer for yourself.

So braving the Black Friday crowds and diving deep into the bargain bins of the local bottle shop the Pouring Old Men may offer some tips on buying some cheap beers this year.

Or if things go tits up they might inadvertently convince you to spend more money on beer instead.

There has been a sudden rise the in the prominence of zero alcohol beer in the local market. Around Brisbane we are seeing brand names usually consigned only to the bottle shop shelves having prominence in the soft drinks isle at the local supermarket.

So with an open mind and an armful of good intentions, the Pouring Old Men take a bold step into the world of Alcohol Free Beer to see how it stacks up.
