  • On the other side of: Healing Motherhood Wounds
    Oct 18 2024

Chile, I'm late posting this episode because of #MomLife and #AuthorLife. However, I had to share my robust conversation on healing motherhood wounds.

In this conversation, Brittney Scott—a licensed therapist—and I delve into the complexities of motherhood, healing from childhood trauma, and the importance of creating safe spaces for children. We discuss the generational impact of parenting styles, the significance of emotional support, and practical steps for healing. These steps include journaling and regulating the nervous system. But listen Sis; patience is the name of the game when it comes to the healing process and the importance of breaking cycles of trauma to foster healthier relationships with our babies.

Brittney Scott is a licensed therapist and mother-daughter coach with a master's in clinical mental health counseling. Using her expertise and experience as a licensed therapist, she helps women heal their relationships with their mothers or heal from painful dynamics in their mother-daughter relationships. As the eldest daughter and mother of a daughter, taking her lived experience and knowledge of how women relate to each other to help them break cycles unique to their lineage. When women know how to use their voices, they can meet their needs healthily and successfully.
