A trooper attempted a traffic stop on a Jeep Commander for speeding, but the driver refused to stop, leading to a pursuit. The suspect, an Omaha man, was arrested and lodged in Douglas County Jail. The vehicle involved was determined to be stolen.

    On February 8, 2025, a homicide occurred in Seward, outside of Omaha's jurisdiction but relevant due to the suspect's current location. Casey Kindt, 54, was arrested for the murder of Jamie Hagen. Kindt is in critical but stable condition at UNMC in Omaha and faces charges of first-degree murder, use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony, possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, burglary, and child abuse.

    On February 13, 2025, troopers responded to over 200 weather-related incidents across Nebraska, including 34 crashes and 161 motorist assists, during a recent snowstorm.
