Old Gods of Appalachia

By: DeepNerd Media
  • Summary

  • In the mountains of central Appalachia, blood runs as deep as these hollers and just as dark. Since before our kind knew these hills, hearts of unknowable hunger and madness have slumbered beneath them. These are the darkest mountains in the world. How dare we think we can break the skin of a god and dig out its heart without bringing forth blood and darkness? Old Gods of Appalachia is a horror-anthology podcast set in the shadows of an Alternate Appalachia, a place where digging too deep into the mines was just the first mistake.

I love it

The narrator's ability to tell a story is excellent. I save episodes for long drives bc I know I can get lost in the story. Being from Appalachia myself, this series feels like home.

Lovecraftian feel in a unique wrapper

Love it already, Good ambient audio, amazing narration. you can really feel the level of invested the creators are when it comes to delivering a quality show. The story is engaging and original while not being too far outside the lines. An all around a great show and worth the listen.

Absolutely Incredible story telling

This series has been one of the most incredible podcast and story telling I’ve ever listened to. I’m impressed with the progression of the stories up to this point and how incredible each episode has been. The way it’s written is unparalleled and I adore the voice and style it’s preformed in. Hats off to this crew and I thank you so much for sharing your gift in such a unique way. I’ve enjoyed every single episode and how I’ve lost myself entirely while listening.
