The NFL salary cap is going to increase by at least $20 million this year, giving the Chicago Bears (and every other team) more money to spend in free agency.

It could change the market for top targets like Trey Smith, or even make it easier for a team like the Cleveland Browns to trade away Myles Garrett.

Some of the top upcoming free agents won't actually hit free agency at all and re-sign with their own team before the Chicago Bears have a chance to negotiate with them.

Ryan Poles needs to have some backup plans in place in case the likes of Trey Smith, Drew Dahlman or Josh Sweat don't become available on the open market.

The Chicago Bears have an obvious need on the offensive line. After that, it's up for debate where Ryan Poles should prioritize his resources.

The trenches should be the theme of the offseason, but the roster needs other holes addressed in free agency and the NFL Draft.
