  • Leave every space better than you found it
    Feb 18 2025

Too many people move through life only taking—using spaces, consuming resources—without thinking about what they leave behind. But true leadership is about contribution, not just consumption.

In this episode, we explore how small acts—like picking up after yourself in a public restroom or tidying a meeting room—demonstrate respect, responsibility, and leadership.

    Key Takeaways:

    • Leadership isn’t about grand gestures; it’s about the small, everyday actions that show your values.
    • Taking ownership means contributing, not just consuming—whether that’s picking up a napkin, wiping the sink in an airport restroom, or resetting a shared space.
    • Imagine the impact if everyone left a space just a little better than they found it. Small efforts add up to a significant change.

Small efforts add up to a significant change.

So: start small. Take responsibility for your surroundings, whether at work, in public, or at home. These moments may seem minor, but they set a tone. When you show respect for the space and the people around you, you lead by example.

    Quote to Remember:

"Leadership isn’t about what you take—it’s about what you leave behind."

Tune in to learn how small, mindful actions can create a bigger impact than you think.

  • Don’t hit the snooze button on yourself
    Feb 17 2025

    [Show notes]

Don’t Hit the Snooze Button on Yourself

Listen on Spotify or Apple Podcasts

Too many people show up for work, for their boss, for obligations—but when it comes to showing up for themselves, they take a back seat. They break promises to themselves, push their own needs aside, and wonder why they feel stuck.

In this episode, I break down what hitting the metaphorical snooze button has to do with your self-worth. Ask yourself: If you had an appointment with yourself—let’s say a walk in the late afternoon—but then a work call comes in after hours, would you take it? Many would, without hesitation. But here’s the truth: That appointment with yourself is just as important as any other.

Self-respect doesn’t come from external validation—it starts with you. If you don’t treat your own time, goals, and well-being as a priority, no one else will.

So, start small. If you say you’ll wake up at 5 AM and work out for 20 minutes, do it. If that’s too much, start with 10 minutes. Even five. But keep the promise you made to yourself. Show up for you.

    Because self-respect isn’t demanded—it’s demonstrated.

How you show up for yourself shapes everything else. Start treating yourself like the most important meeting on your calendar.

  • Judge silently, praise loudly
    Feb 14 2025

    [Show notes]

    Judge less, praise more

Listen on Spotify or Apple Podcasts

In this episode of the Leadership Nugget, Fabian tackles a common yet powerful issue: we're quick to judge but slow to praise. He challenges us to reflect on how we react when things go wrong—often with instant criticism—while overlooking the opportunities to recognize when someone does something right.

Fabian explains that this habit of rushing to judge stifles progress, demotivates teams, and undermines trust. Instead, he urges leaders to pause, show patience, and celebrate small wins. Real leadership means recognizing potential, offering praise, and fostering a culture where positive feedback is given freely.

    Key Takeaways:

    * Criticism comes too easily; praise should come even faster.

    * Rushing to judge diminishes progress and destroys trust.

    * Celebrate small victories to motivate and empower your team.

    * Real leaders focus on understanding and uplifting others, not just pointing out faults.

  • No one owes you sh*t
    Feb 13 2025

    [Show Notes]

No one owes you sh*t: You gotta create your own luck

In this episode, I lay down a hard truth: "No one owes you anything. You owe it to yourself." Too many of us wait for opportunities, expecting someone to notice or for life to simply happen. But the reality is, no one’s coming to save you. If you want the life you aspire to—whether it’s starting that project, honing your craft, or launching a podcast—you have to take full responsibility.

Every day you wait and every excuse you make, you fall further behind the person you could become. The difference between who you are and who you want to be is in the choices you make every single day.

    Key points discussed:

    * Own Your Success: Stop waiting for validation. Boldly ask for your luck and act on what you want.

    * Action Over Excuses: Real progress is built on taking ownership and making moves, not on making excuses.

    * Pursue What Makes You Happy: Success isn’t just about money—it’s about doing what fulfills you, whether that’s art, fitness, journaling, or connecting with your community.

Remember, the path to your dream life starts with taking action. No one is handing it to you; you must create it.

If this message resonated with you, share your bold next step in the comments. And as always: be kind, be patient, and take the high road.

[Show Notes] Watch the quiet people

Meetings have taught me one valuable lesson: the loudest person in the room isn’t always the smartest or the most senior. The real bright sparks? They know when to stay quiet. They listen, observe, and learn before they speak.

In this episode, I talk about why paying attention to the quiet ones can give you an edge and how real leadership isn’t about being the loudest—it’s about knowing when to listen.

If this resonated with you, share it with someone who needs to hear it. And as always: be kind, be patient, and take the high road.
